Château Julien 1998 Estate Vineyard Merlot (Monterey County)

Very dark, and it coats the inside of the glass with glycerine. The aromas also are strong, suggesting berries, plums and spices. It drinks round, full-bodied and flavorful, with a fruity extract that only sunny, warm conditions can provide. Moderate tannins suggest short-term aging possibilities.
