In this wine, initial whiffs of smoke and charred toast ease off quickly, revealing luminous blackberry and plum. A organically grown, Syrah-dominant blend accented by Grenache and Carignan, the briskly structured wine balances pristine fruit against elegant earth and mineral tones. The finish is framed by fine, persistent tannins. Lovely now, the wine should hold through 2027. Anna Lee C. Iijima
