Château La Nerthe 2007 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

La Nerthe is usually quite structured, so while the 2007 is riper and creamier than most vintages, it still retains decent acidity to balance things out. Leather, spice and cherry flavors pick up hints of coffee and chocolate on the finish. Drink it over the next 10–12 years. Joe Czerwinski
