Otto Rettenmaier's estate has succeeded in enticing ripe flavors out of a lightweight vintage. This wine has rich, dry tannins alongside firm flavors of blackcurrants, dark plums and spices. There is balancing acidity which brings out the youthful tannins. There is a fine, lingering aftertaste.
