With a very sweet and wide-open berry nose that's quite classy and deep. Likewise the palate is open and friendly. Flavors are spicy blackberry and sweeter cassis, but they're kind of short-lived. Oak overwhelms the finish, leaving a toasty but one-dimensional feel to the finish. It's definitely soft enough to drink now.
