This smooth, seductive wine recalls the superb ‘94 from this vineyard. There's plenty of fruit, but it's already well blended into the toasty oak, with some cinnamon spice and herbal highlights for added interest. Delicious right now, it will improve with a little bit of bottle age as the hard tannins soften a bit. There are some nice, dark, toasty undercurrents that add a great deal of depth, and a lingering, vanilla custard sweetness in the finish that makes for a very attractive style.
