This wine gets the royal treatment despite its modest price: fermentation in new French oak, sur lie aging and a final blending of only the best barrels. It is everything a Columbia valley Chardonnay can be, forward and fruity, bursting with crisp green apples and buttery pie crust flavors. Delicious right now, but another year or two will take the edges off.
