Chateau Ste. Michelle 1999 Merlot (Columbia Valley (WA))

The scent is pure Bordeaux, potent and loaded with black cherry, cedar and coffee. The wine hits the palate very soft and quite dry, with a smooth, seamless mouthfeel. It's very tasty, never overbearing, and surprisingly rich in this price range. Paul Gregutt
