Clearly this Merlot is an important part of the winery's portfolio; there are 153,000 cases of this “regular” bottling looking for love. Not as big and lush as its brother in arms from Columbia Crest, this is a more restrained, more elegant wine, with soft and precise fruit flavors that run to berries and plums. Nice hint of cedar in the finish.
