Chateau Ste. Michelle 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon (Red Mountain)

Aromas of green herb, coffee ground, black fruit and clove lead to dark fruit flavors backed by slightly gritty-seeming tannins. Chocolate notes linger on the finish. There are good things here, but they don't all seem in harmony at present, with the barrel influence showing prominently. Sean P. Sullivan
