Château Trottevieille 2006 Saint-Émilion

This wine appears to mark a departure from Trottevieille's normally strict style, showing more opulence, new wood and ripeness. There is still a touch of austerity initially, but from that point, the wine opens out with a great burst of fresh blackberry jelly and stylish texture. Roger Voss
