Chatom Vineyards 2010 Merlot (Calaveras County)

Classy, complex aromas and flavors make this full-bodied contribution from the Sierra Foothills quite attractive and interesting to drink. It smells like baking spices and cedar shavings, tastes fruity like cranberries and adds a good amount of acidity and firm tannins to firm up the texture. Jim Gordon
