Chehalem 2004 Ian's Reserve Chardonnay (Willamette Valley)

Although it has spent quite a bit of time in bottle, this wine still seems overweighted to its oak – the barrel flavors, woody and slightly bitter, overwhelm the golden apple fruit. It seems to be fading already, a bit past its peak. Paul Gregutt
