Chehalem 2005 Stoller Vineyard Pinot Noir (Dundee Hills)

The Stoller bottling from Chehalem shows some dark, musky flavors, with black cherry fruit wrapped around whiffs of smoke and the commonly found Oregon notes of tomato leaf and bud. Despite its immediate impact, it falls a bit light in the back end, and does not have quite enough weight to support the thick tannins. Paul Gregutt
