Chehalem 2016 Corral Creek Vineyards Pinot Noir (Chehalem Mountains)

Though it spent time in half new, 40% once-used barrels, the oak influence remains subdued. What shows most strongly are tart fruit flavors of pomegranate and raspberry juice, with more than ample acidity. This wine should be rested for another year or two before cracking open that screw cap. Paul Gregutt
