Chehalem 2017 Stoller Vineyard Pinot Noir (Dundee Hills)

This is unusually light for an estate-grown vineyard designate, and the listed alcohol suggests that it simply didn't quite ripen fully. Thin strawberry fruit comes up quickly and vanishes almost as fast, fading through a finish that does not reflect the year and a half aging in 43% new French oak. Paul Gregutt
