This was aged for 10 months in French oak, 36% new, then racked into stainless steel tanks with lees for another five months. Notes of cantaloupe and a cup of gunpowder green tea acompany aromas of a buttery croissant straight out of the oven. The lean mouthfeel is complemented by brisk acidity. Lemon tart, earthy raw filbert and pine needle flavors are pushed to the background by the wine's toasty oak qualities. Michael Alberty
