Cherry Hill 2005 Estate Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Pungent with aromas of resin, tomato leaf and sour cherry, this thin, acidic wine is fairly typical of Oregon fruit. It does not seem to have the ripeness to carry the tannins, and the lingering impression is tart and chalky, like a sour cherry candy. Paul Gregutt
