This Petite Sirah is high in alcohol, but the wine wears it well. It's almost overripe, with suggestions of raisins and prunes, but that's just part of its robust personality. What you get is an enormously rich, tannic wine, stuffed with blackberries. It's a very big wine, and needs big foods, especially barbecued beef, with a crust of smoky-sweet char.
