Chono 2007 Reserva Carmenère (Maipo Valley)

Grapey and thick at first, with sweet berry aromas that seem more generic than specific. The palate has some grit and grab, while flavors of plum and berry smack down with bitter herbs and black pepper. More pepper rides the finish along with mocha and coffee. Michael Schachner
