Both pretty and complex, Clairault's Cab is a heady mix of cranberry and tart cherry, florals, peppery herbs, pencil lead and some raw meat in the background. The palate is medium bodied and rustic yet elegant. Tannins are big but they seem a product of the skins rather than the oak, and there's a lovely savory, peppery finish. Drink now–2025.
