Clementine Carter 2018 Graciano (Santa Ynez Valley)

Editors' Choice

The many acres of unknowingly planted Graciano that everyone thought was Mourvèdre are starting to bear fruit, and this bottling shows why many are embracing the goof. Aromas of intense blueberry, boysenberry and purple flowers are both bright and dark. The texture is stony and fresh, with more dark fruit and wet gravel flavors. Matt Kettmann
