The aromatic and flavor profiles of this series of aged-to-release wines, grown on a dramatic slope atop the Santa Cruz Mountains, are unlike any others. Scents of moist earth and turned loam meet with dried mint, chocolate, soy and black cherry reduction on the nose. The palate adds juniper, mulch, pepper and plum to the mix, framed by a firm tannic structure and yet soft mouthfeel. Matt Kettmann
