92pointsClos Griotte 2017 Hyland Vineyard Pinot Noir (McMinnville)

Spicy and tart, this young release is an acid-driven wine, sharp and fresh tasting with bright and tangy red fruits, especially cherry (griotte). Texture and length are excellent, as is the underlying minerality typical of this AVA. Light highlights of herb and stem add still more complexity. Tuck this away for another year or two and drink after 2020. Paul Gregutt
