Clos La Chance 2001 Syrah (Central Coast)

Smells promising, with young Syrah aromas of plum, pepper, blackberry, tobacco and subtle oak. But in the mouth it turns rather simple and even tart. The blackberry flavors finish with a sharp bite of acidity, and it doesn't seem like age will work wonders.
