Clos Saint Antonin 2017 Red (Châteauneuf-du-Pape)

Editors' Choice

Made from 100% Grenache sourced from the famed sandy soils of La Fond du Loup and La Crau, this is an intoxicating red that fills the glass with notes of raspberry, fig and lilac. Penetrating berry and cherry flavors are unabashedly forward, but it's an elegant wine, too, catapulted by tangs of minerality and ethereally fine tannins. A delight in youth but composed enough to improve through 2030 and hold longer still. Anna Lee C. Iijima
