Clusserath-Weiler 2003 Trittenheimer Apotheke Spätlese Trocken Riesling (Mosel-Saar-Ruwer)

Smoke, pear and quince aromas on the nose, then the wine shows less fruit on the palate. It's a sip of liquid rocks—a bit hard to get at—without the normal friendliness of young Riesling, yet possessed of a certain intellectual pleasure. Joe Czerwinski
