An excellent Syrah. It's opulent almost to a fault, the fruit thick as a brick and ripe to the point of raisiny. It's buoyed with firm acidity and loads of black pepper and pencil lead. The wine is still a bit of a monster at 15.5% alcohol, but it's a loveable monster for sure.
