College Cellars 2016 Estate Clarke Vineyard Merlot (Walla Walla Valley (WA))
The aromas intrigue, with notes of orange peel, dried tobacco, vanilla, toast and dark fruit. Broad, creamy-feeling fruit and barrel flavors follow. Coffee and plum notes linger on the finish. It's an unusual interpretation of the variety. Sean P. Sullivan
