The blend here is two-thirds Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 12% Cabernet Franc. Tight and toasty, it carries a hint of green tannins that show up in an astringent, lightly chalky finish. The fruit is sharp and herbal, with a suggestion of heat.
