With its combination of ripe blackberries, loam, cedar-bark mulch and dried rose petals, each sniff of the glass is like a day in the garden. The rich flavors of blackberries and blueberries are joined by a creamy citrus note that conjures childhood memories of eating orange Creamsicles supplied by the neighborhood ice cream truck. When first opened, this wine is closed up tight. The tannins are grippy, drying the mouth like a cup of strong back tea. Consider decanting or putting the bottle away for another year or so.
