Comtesse Thérèse 2006 Aquebogue Estate Cabernet Sauvignon (North Fork of Long Island)

Traces of cedar chips and cigar leaves add intensity to the plush, ripe red fruit notes on the nose and palate. It's a bit soft in profile, but bright acidity and strident grape tannins add structure, leading the way to a pleasant vanilla and black pepper finish. Anna Lee C. Iijima
