Concannon 2008 Conservancy Petite Sirah (Livermore Valley)

The Livermore Valley master of Petite Sirah outpaces much of its competition with Conservancy, a wine that honors land conservancy and is priced fairly. Well-made and very balanced for a larger production endeavor, this Petite opens with a nose of pepper and mocha, stewed berry and plum and develops into a full body that's lush and oaky but also shows plenty of minerality.
