Concha y Toro 2009 Xplorador Malbec (Mendoza)

Best Buy

A little sharp and cheesy on first sniff, but for $8 this has a lot of quality going in its favor. The palate is sweet and fairly rich, with slightly spiky berry flavors. The finish is regular but short, with clean flavors and some bulk. Full-bodied for a value wine, with above-average brightness and clarity. Michael Schachner
