Contadi Castaldi 1998 Rose (Terre di Franciacorta)

The color is so light that it wouldn't pass for rosé in most circles. The bouquet is equally light, so much so that it's boring. The palate features a struggling mix of banana, clove and resin flavors, and the finish seems heavy more than it is clean. Lacks pop and pizzazz. —M.S. Michael Schachner
