Contucci 2017 Pietra Rossa (Vino Nobile di Montepulciano)

Cellar Selection

Balsamic aromas of camphor mingle with ripe dark-skinned fruit, underbrush and pipe tobacco on this firmly structured red. All about class and finesse, it's still youthfully austere, delivering juicy Morello cherry, crushed raspberry, licorice and crushed mint framed in tightly wound, noble tannins. Give it a few more years to fully develop. Drink 2025–2037. Kerin O’Keefe
