Cooper Mountain 2005 Reserve Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Reserve seems an odd designation for this inexpensive wine, but whatever you call it's a very drinkable, light and balanced, with some interesting highlights. Organically grown grapes—really biodynamic—show some lightly earthy notes. The fruit tails off quickly and the acids take over. Nice quaffer. Paul Gregutt
