Cooper Mountain 2019 Old Vines Chardonnay (Willamette Valley)

Part of the winery's 5 Element Series, this biodynamic Chardonnay is constructed with fruit from 40-year-old vines. It takes a subtle approach to the grape, highlighting the nuances from both old vines and biodynamic farming. Green apple, green pineapple, cucumber, lemon and lime form a juicy midpalate. This is a wine for acid lovers, but also for those who believe that Chardonnay does not always need new oak to taste really good. Paul Gregutt
