Tightly wound aromas of black currant, blackberry and lavender meet with light herbs and a lava rock minerality on the still-shy nose of this blend of 36% Grenache, 32% Syrah and 32% Mourvèdre. Chiseled tannins frame the palate, where blackberry- jam-on-toast flavors lead into charred caramel toward the finish. There is much complexity to come. Drink 2022–2032. Matt Kettmann
