Coming in at an alcohol level nearly unheard of for modern day red wines in the state, subdued aromas of dried tobacco, ash and cherry are followed by well-balanced fruit flavors that display a sense of elegance. Citrus streaks run throughout. The tannins bring a lightly tacky feel, needing some food to bring them into check. It should shine at the dinner table, bringing a lovely sense of purity and structure. Sean P. Sullivan
