The wine is almost honey-colored, and scented with sweet hay and clover. That impression of sweet grass carries over into the mouth, and it adds life and lift to the rather rich and heavy fruit. Don't look for it to improve or to age beyond a year or two. The blend includes 7% Sauvignon Blanc.
