Crichton Hall 1996 Pinot Noir (Napa Valley)

Aromatic Pinot made in the Burgundian style. A whiff of Bartlett pears (of all things) in the nose, backed up by kirsch. Light-bodied with alive tannins. Heavily spiced, especially with white pepper. A slightly hot quality to the wine. 700 cases made. Michael Schachner
