Cristobal 1492 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon (Mendoza)

Smoky and rubbery on the nose, with some green oak aromas. The palate has a soft, pasty quality to it as well as flavors of black cherry and mildly roasted berries. Finishes sort of bland and slightly herbal. Good but entirely basic in its approach. Michael Schachner
