Cristom 2002 Mt. Jefferson Cuvée Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

A very fine effort in this price range. It opens with a soft, varietally pure, very pretty nose, scents of cherries and vanilla lightly kissed with herbal spices. The wine tightens up in the mouth, and shows some spine and near-term aging potential. Paul Gregutt
