A blend of 52% Grenache, 30% Syrah, 16% Mourvèdre and 2% Petite Sirah—all rare finds in Pinot-heavy Russian River—this wine is aged in mostly neutral barrels, although a third of the Syrah sees time in new French oak. Spicy layers of anise and tar intermingle with balanced blackberry and black-cherry brightness.
