Cutruzzola 2014 Giacomino Reserve Pinot Noir (San Luis Obispo County)

Thick blackberries, wet slate, sweet anise and a touch of purple flowers show on the rich nose of this reserve wine from a vineyard tucked into a seaside canyon above Cambria. It's quite dry on the tip of sip, with tons of rose petals and lavender, and then the black cherry and vanilla flavors arise. Chalky tannins and refreshing acidity complete the picture.
