D & R Dubois 2006 Château Bertinat Lartigue (Saint-Émilion)

A finely balanced wine, its tannins kept well in place but there are tight fruits and a texture that shows an edge of acidity and green peppers. The style is maybe old-fashioned—no concession to ripeness or extraction here—and it works well. Roger Voss
