Dablon 2016 Malbec (Lake Michigan Shore)

Slightly sharp and crunchy raspberry and red-currant aromas take center stage joined by garrigue, bell pepper and vanilla. Tart cranberry, red-currant and cherry flavors are dusted with pepper on the palate where light tannins attempt to balance the endless, bright acidity. A green tinge starts the finish ending on green strawberry, raspberry and bell pepper. It's tangy and edgy, but would be nice with a light chill and grilled or smoked game birds. Fiona Adams
