D'Alfonso-Curran 2018 Sanford & Benedict Pinot Noir (Sta. Rita Hills)

Generous while crisp and clean aromas of boysenberry, dark strawberry and cherry paste meet with underlying hints of mint and baking spice on the nose of this bottling from legends Kris Curran and Bruno D'Alfonso, who worked with this vineyard for decades as former winemaker for Sanford Winery. The acid-driven palate pops with sour cherry, tarragon, sage and pepper spices. Matt Kettmann
