Damilano 2011 Lecinquevigne (Barolo)

Aromas of ripe plum, dark berry, violet, baking spice, leather and tilled earth all come together in the glass. The juicy, structured palate doles out crushed black cherry, anise, ground pepper, tobacco and a hint of chopped herb. It boasts a great depth of flavors and fruit purity, while firm, velvety tannins give it an almost creamy mouthfeel. Drink 2018–2027. Kerin O’Keefe
